Writer/Director/Actor Cate Jones and Producer/Actor Kassie Gann hop on the mic to share their film making experience after debuting their hilarious and wonderful indie feature Chicken House at Chattanooga Film Fest. This film was a BIG nostalgia trip for me as you’ll hear.
Chicken House is a subversive comedy that follows a house full of small town actresses that get a new mysterious roommate from LA. The new roommate not only shakes up their lives, but also the lives of two latter-day saints and a poltergeist.
It’s based on a true story but also pulls from Ben Stiller’s “The Cable Guy“, Ingmar Bergman’s “Smiles of a Summer Night” and Brady Corbet’s “Vox Lux” all with the tone of a Christopher Guest comedy.
